A while back me and Amelia Earhart climbed possibly the most spectacular ferrata we have ever done: Heine Holzer. It is a new ferrata, only two years old, but already the crumbly Dolomites has taken its tole on the path. Scar tissue of many landslides has left the start of the ferrata in an unstable state. Regardless, climbing along the edge of the mountain, to its very top, turned out to be an a amazing experience beyond many of the more ‘mild’ via ferrata experiences we had in the past.
